The required textbook for the class is:
Thinking With Type: A Critical Guide for Designers, Writers, Editors & Students
2nd Edition, by Ellen Lupton.

It is an excellent book - easy to read, with enlightening discussion on type theory, as well as typographic terminology, elements and principles.

READING OUTLINES

A comprehensive and well-designed Reading Outline must be posted on your individual class blog the day the reading is due at the beginning of class.
A Reading Outline is a documentation of your reading content and experience.

It may be a written conclusion in paragraph form, or more typically, a hierarchical outlined summary in complete sentences.
